Digital media networks with a brain.
Each network is built for one kind of place and one kind of shopper. Every screen on every network is an AI edge device.
The money is being spent in one place. The shopping is happening in another.

Reach shoppers where the decision gets made.
84% of retail sales happen in a store. Almost all retail media spend goes online. Skillz screens sit at the register, on the counter, in the aisle, on the shelf and at the pump.
What the research says about a screen at the point of decision.
Read this carefully. The signage in the study included audio. Skillz screens are silent. Treat it as evidence that a screen at the point of decision can move purchase behavior, not as a result Skillz Media delivers. We have no campaign results of our own to quote yet.

Four things that move the number.
Proximity
The effect grew as the screen moved nearer the advertised product. Distance from the decision costs impact.
Price and newness
Strongest on lower priced products and on products the shopper had not seen on the shelf before.
Emotional creative
Emotional creative outperformed rational, feature led creative on the same screens.
Incremental
The extra purchases were additional, not pulled forward from a later trip.

What to send us.
Design for sound off, for a shopper who is already standing there, and for a screen that is close to the product.

One buy, two budgets.
The same impression can be justified as performance or as brand. A phone ad can buy attention. In the aisle, the product is in reach and the register is four feet away.
The shopper notices the message at the shelf.
The brand is easier to recall later.
It enters the set of options on the next trip.
It wins when the decision is made.

A new revenue line at your counter.
We pay for the hardware, install it and run it. You share in the advertising revenue, and the share costs you nothing to produce.
Lead with the margin.
Grocers earn low single digit operating margins. Tesco reports 4.5% and Sainsbury’s 3.2%. Advertising is one of the few lines in the store where the extra dollar is mostly profit.
Retailers that run their own retail media network report margins of 70 to 90% on onsite advertising (Forrester). That is not what we offer. Skillz Media owns the hardware and sells the inventory, and you receive a revenue share. Your share is real money that costs you nothing to produce.

The counter is where the margin is.
Foodservice is the category a convenience operator most wants to move. It is made on site, it is bought on impulse, and it is bought in the minute a customer stands at the counter looking at our screen.

It does not take from your own basket.
The first question a category manager asks is whether advertising cannibalises the store’s own sales. In a field study of 237 digital signage campaigns, the extra purchases were incremental, not pulled forward from a later trip.
